Hines-Allen Named College Sports Madness ACC Player of the Week

Myisha Hines-Allen averaged 16.0 points and 7.5 rebounds in two games.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Myisha Hines-Allen has been named College Sports Madness Atlantic Coast Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week, it was announced on Monday.

In the past week, the University of Louisville sophomore averaged 16.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, and two steals in wins against Virginia Tech (56-45) and No. 18 Duke (65-48). Against the Hokies, Hines-Allen scored 18 points on 7-of-17 shooting and 10 rebounds for her fifth career double-double.
In the upset win over the Blue Devils, Louisville’s ninth-consecutive victory, Hines-Allen contributed 14 points along with five rebounds and five assists.
Hines-Allen shot 48.1 percent from the field and connected on 75.0 percent of her free-throw attempts during in the two-game week.
Through four conference games, Hines-Allen is averaging 15.4 points per game for the fourth-best mark in the ACC. She is sixth in rebounding (17.7), 12th in field goal percentage (52.3), and 10th in offensive rebounds (48).
Louisville is set to play at Virginia on Thursday at 7 p.m. and NC State on Sunday at 2 p.m.
