LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A Facebook contest left one local senior care center with a major donation Friday.
Home Instead Senior Care presented Nazareth Home with a $16,000 check in honor of its 16th anniversary in Louisville.
Home Instead wanted to give back, so it designed the "Sweet 16" Facebook contest.
Nazareth Home is the third center to be awarded over the past year.
"What we wanted to do was support other like-minded folks in Louisville who are doing the same thing, so it is important for us to be philanthropic, it's important for us to give back and support those non-profit charities that do such an amazing job of also taking care of seniors in Louisville," Becky Beanblossom, of Home Instead, said.
Nazareth Home has 168 beds and is a long-term care home and rehab center with specialty programs for short-term rehab, memory care and skilled-care.
