LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - What are Hermitage Grand Gala planners doing for an encore?
For starters, they're moving the Derby Eve bash to the 21c hotel in downtown Louisville this year.
Last year's inaugural event took place at Hermitage Farm in Oldham County, but Laura Lee Brown and Steve Wilson are bringing it to Seventh and Main streets this time around.
Brown and Wilson are the couple who founded the 21c Museum Hotels; they also own Hermitage Farm.
"Laura Lee and I are delighted that the Hermitage Grand Gala has become such an important element of the Derby event landscape," Wilson said. "We received an overwhelming response from last year's event and want to give people the chance to celebrate Derby time in Kentucky with an incredible evening of food, entertainment and dancing."
"Entourage" star Adrian Grenier is scheduled to appear, and the May 6 crowd will be treated to a live performance by The Skins before DJ Cassidy takes over spinning duties for the second straight year.
More special guests will be announced in the coming months.
Proceeds from the Gala will once again benefit the West End School.
