Car crashes into liquor store

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - One person was injured after a car crashed into a liquor store.

The accident at 2917 Brownsboro Road was reported to MetroSafe at 10:42 a.m. The building houses Captain's Cellar.

The crash happened as a car heading west on Brownsboro Road struck a vehicle that had pulled out of the parking lot of Lee's Famous Recipe Chicken restaurant into its path. After the collision the sedan hit the front of the liquor store building.

The driver of the sedan was taken to a hospital for treatment.

A police department wrecker pulled the car from the building about 40 minutes after the crash. The extent of the damage to the building is being evaluated.
