LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A woman police found passed out inside a running vehicle at Louisville International Airport's cell phone lot has been charged with several crimes, according to her arrest report.

An officer with Louisville Airport Police noticed what appeared to be an abandoned vehicle parked across more than one parking space in the lot about 10:30 a.m. on Sunday. Upon closer inspection, the officer discovered human feces and trash on the ground outside the driver's door. The officer also discovered a woman, later identified as Brooke E. Basham, 35, of Louisville, passed out in the driver's seat.

The officer's pounding on the window awoke Basham, whom the officer described as "slow to respond to questions" and unable to complete sobriety tests.

Basham told the officer she drove to the airport to pick up her boyfriend at 5:30 a.m., but he never showed up. Her arrest report also states that she told the officer she had smoked cocaine that morning, did heroin the previous night, and was preparing to report to Our Lady of Peace at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday.

The officer found eight smoking pipes and 20 needles, including one containing a liquid substance, in the car. A small baggie containing a white powder that Basham stated was cocaine was also found in the car, according to her arrest report.

Basham is charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, loitering, criminal littering, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs or alcohol, and no operators license.

Bond was set at $5,000.
