Louisville Bats mascot accused of inappropriate relationship

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A Jefferson County Public Schools resource teacher has been reassigned from his job following an investigation into an alleged inappropriate relationship.

Jeremy Sharfe has been temporarily removed from his duties at Doss High School and is forbidden from contacting any students, faculty, parents or staff from the school.

Louisville Metro Police Department officials said they are investigating Sharfe regarding accusations of an inappropriate relationship.

In addition to teaching, Sharfe is also a musician and worked as the Louisville Bats mascot Buddy.

Louisville Bats Media and Public Relations Director Ryan Ritchey said Sharfe had been suspended from being Buddy Bat until further notice.
