LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Aspiring boxers from Kazakhstan had a chance to experience the legend of Muhammad Ali.

Through a state program, the boxers traveled across the world to learn about the work Muhammad Ali did as both an athlete and a humanitarian.

Of course, they are all big fans of Ali. Their coach Marat Seimagambetov, who spoke using a translator, said being in Louisville brought something a little more special to the trip.

“Being here in the city where he was born and raised, being able to breathe in the same air, that he has been breathing is a totally different feeling that we really, really appreciate,” he said.

The team will be in the Bluegrass until Friday.
