UofL soccer team teaches skills to JCPS students

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A group of Jefferson County Public Schools students got to learn from some of the best soccer players around Friday.

Members of the University of Louisville men’s soccer team helped teach some soccer skills to disabled children who attend Churchill Park School.

The players taught the students basic soccer skills, but got so much more in return.

“We do it with the intent of given, but is amazing, we get so much out of it," UofL soccer coach Ken Lolla said. "When the kids leave here, they are filled with the spirit, ya know it is a wonderful spirit of giving so much back with the work that they are giving."

UofL has been recognized by the Atlantic Coast Conference for this special partnership which is something they will continue to do weekly throughout the spring.
