LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Sunday ground was broken on new landscaping around the Garden of Angels Memorial in the Park Hill neighborhood.

As part of Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer's Give A Day week, local activist Christopher 2X formed a partnership with Koetter Construction of New Albany, Ind. to spruce up the landscaping and seating around the memorial dedicated in the memory of four teens killed in a 2008 car crash.

"They say they want to give families of loved ones who've been killed in violent acts a place to remember, but the biggest thing is, we'll do all we can do, we'll put it together," Bob Koetter, president of Koetter Construction, said. "All I ask you to do is help take care of it for the memory and for the ones that we've lost. Let's do it for them."
