Louisville organizations send supplies for first hospice in Sierra Leone

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Two Louisville organizations are pitching in to help set up the first hospice clinic in Sierra Leone in Africa.

Supplies Over Seas and Hosparus filled a 40 foot shipping container with medical supplies and equipment on Friday. The container is being shipped to Freetown, Sierra Leone.

Employees of Hosparus donated funds to pay for the shipment.

"They need everything, from basic supplies to hospital beds to gurneys, all types of equipment," Phil Marshall, Hosparus Health President said. "That's what we're trying to send them, even for infants."
