Wanted Jeffersonville man surrenders in Spencer Co.

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A fugitive considered armed and dangerous that authorities spent about two weeks searching for surrendered at the Spencer County Sheriff's Office early Tuesday morning.

Sheriff Buddy Stump said Michael Lynn Grubb of Jeffersonville turned himself in between 2:30 and 3 a.m. Tuesday. He was taken to the Shelby County Detention Center.

Grubb, 39, was wanted on several charges including cruelty to animals, arson, kidnapping, robbery and wanton endangerment, according to KSP.

Stump said Kirsten Edmondson, a 45-year-old Taylorsville woman who authorities had said was traveling with Grubb, possibly against her will, was also found safe. Stump was unsure whether she had been abducted.
