LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The man shot and killed Saturday morning at 10th and Magazine streets has been identified.

The call came in of a person shot just after 11 a.m. Saturday.

Twenty-one-year-old Deionte Stokes was taken by a private vehicle to University Hospital, where he died. Stokes, who was pronounced dead at 11:24 a.m. died of a gunshot wound, according to the Jefferson County Coroner's Office.

Meanwhile as police were investigating that shooting, a 19-year-old man began shooting nearby.

Jaylen Coreyon Jacquaze Davis was arrested and charged with first-degree wanton endangerment and three counts of first-degree criminal mischief. According to a police report, Davis admitted to "firing his handgun while officers were on scene investigating a homicide." He struck three vehicles with his shots.
