Murder victim’s mother frustrated with son’s investigation

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Troy Redd was shot and killed in New Albany on Aug. 24.

"Nothing's being said. We're not getting any answers," said Jade Webster, Redd's cousin.

Webster claims she and her family have received little information from police about the investigation into her cousin's death.
Redd's family is frustrated with the progress of the investigation. There hasn't been an arrest and since the last week, the family says people have been reaching out to them on social media saying they know who killed Redd.

"People are outside of the family in the inboxes talking about they know who killed my son. If you know then go downtown," said Martean Brown, Redd's mother.
"I don't feel like you're telling the truth. I just feel like it's gossip," said Webster.

Redd's mother admits these messages are upsetting her family and she wants them to stop. She's told police about the various online tips, all of which the authorities say they've pursued. Police say they have been investigating this case every day.
