Democrat Shelli Yoder and Republican Trey Hollingsworth are vying to replace Todd Young, who is running for the U.S. Senate.

The hour-long debate will be moderated by WAVE 3 News anchor Scott Reynolds and streamed live on WAVE3.com.

"We're educating the community," LSI executive director Mark Eddy told News and Tribune. "We felt like this is a great opportunity, whether they can actually show up [or] they can see a live stream."

Libertarian candidate Russell Brooksband was not invited to participate in the debate. News and Tribune reported that decision was made by the LSI’s debate committee.
