LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Raccoons are known to be very resourceful and good with their paws.

And apparently, they like playing with cell phones too.

Bellarmine student Guy Williams learned this lesson the hard way on Tuesday night. He and some friends were feeding a raccoon on campus and trying to get some up close and personal video with Guy's phone.

With the phone propped up on the ground, the raccoon is seen picking up the acorns and looking for more. Well, he got more all right.

The raccoon moseyed over to Guy's phone, picked it up and took off. And, the phone kept recording during the escape.

"I was scared because I was like how I am supposed to tell my parents, I lost my phone to a raccoon?" Willams' said.

Guy posted the video on his Twitter for the whole world to enjoy. And enjoy it they did. The tweet was liked more than 110,000 times in less than 24 hours.

Now Willliams has been propelled to viral video fame.

Even Williams' music has gotten more likes, he said its great exposure and all because of a raccoon named Stanley.

"I'm just trying to sit back and enjoy the fact that a raccoon has brought me instant fame," Williams said.

In a subsequent tweet, Guy quelled any suspicions that he might have hurt the raccoon to get his phone back by saying, "Dude just finally dropped it."
