LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Lamar Jackson had a special guest accompanying him for Friday night's Card March.

Ballard High School junior Amzie Smith joined the University of Louisville star quarterback for the football team's march to Papa John's Cardinal Stadium prior to its game against Duke.

Smith, who has Stage 4 liver cancer, was crowned Homecoming Princess during Ballard's homecoming football game last month

Meeting Jackson was one of Smith's wishes made possible by the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Smith met Jackson when he got off the team bus, then he gave her an autographed football before the two walked through the throngs of fans to PJCS.
