3 injured in hit-and-run crash involving JCPS bus

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Two students and an adult were taken to area hospitals with minor injuries following a hit-and-run crash involving a Jefferson County Public Schools bus.

The bus was at a stoplight on Dixie Highway, at the intersection of Millers Lane, when a white pickup truck pulled out of a McDonald’s and hit the rear of the bus around 3:15 p.m., according to Shively Police Department Sgt. Josh Myers.

Forty students from Doss High School were on the bus when the crash happened, according to JCPS spokeswoman Jennifer Brislin.

Myers said police are looking for a white pickup with possible front end damage. The truck was last seen driving west on Millers Lane.
