LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - AT&T beat Google to the punch with its launch of ultra-fast fiber Internet in Louisville.

The telecom giant said most homes in Jefferson County now have access to its one gigabit internet service, which is 20 times faster than high speed cable connections.

Kentucky AT&T President Hood Harris said, “You can download your average HD movie in less than 34 seconds. That's fast. But we're not slowing down. Neither are our customers. So we're excited about keeping up that pace as we expand and enhance the AT&T fiber network to more locations.”
