Edward A. Schuley, 28, was arrested in Louisville after crashing the car he was driving.

Schuley was driving a 2009 Ford Fusion that had been reported stolen from Greenville, Indiana. Officers from the Floyd County Sheriff's Department and other agencies attempted to stop the car before it crossed the Sherman Minton Bridge and into Louisville.

Schuley lost control of the car as he attempted to turn from the 1200 block of S. 15th Street onto Ormsby Avenue. After the car hit a barbed wire fence at a business, police say Schuley hid on the property to avoid police.

After being arrested by Louisville Metro police just after 1 a.m., Schuley was booked into Louisville Metro Corrections on Kentucky charges for criminal trespassing, criminal mischief and receiving stolen property over $10,000. He is also charged with escape and tampering with a prisoner monitoring device after cutting off his GPS Anklet from the LMDC Home Incarceration Program.
