LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The Jefferson County Public School system is hosting its annual Showcase of Schools on Friday, October 28 and Saturday, October 29.
Showcase of Schools will take place from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday Oct. 28, and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29.
Showcase of Schools offers parents and students a convenient opportunity to visit with JCPS staff and representatives of each school to receive information about optional and magnet programs before deciding which school the student will attend the next year.
Showcase of Schools will feature all grades during the two day event.
Representatives from the Optional, Magnet and Advance Programs Office, Student Assignment, Transportation, Parent Teacher Association (PTA), and Demographics will also be available to answer questions and explain application procedures to parents.
The online application period for the 2017-2018 school years is Monday, Oct. 31, 2016 to Friday, Jan. 6, 2017.
This years Showcase of Schools will be held at the Kentucky Exposition Center in South Wing B, instead of the Kentucky International Convention Center. Regular day-of-event parking rate of $8 per vehicle will apply.
