Twin Limb treats fans to long-awaited album release

Twin Limb treats us to long-awaited album release

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Local music fans have been dying for new music from Twin Limb, and this Halloween weekend, the wait is over.

Their debut full length, Haplo, arrives Oct. 28. Twin Limb celebrates with a release show Friday night at Headliners, featuring guest performances by James Lindsey and Teach Me Equals.

Tickets are still available for $10. Doors open at 8 p.m. for the 18 and over show.

The album's first single, "The Weather," is a catchy, haunting, exploration of sound perfect for the weekend's tricks or treats. Check it out in the video above, as Twin Limb sits down with Kyle Meredith on The Setlist.

It took a long time for the local favorites to put out a full length, but the wait was worth it. Listeners who have followed them since "Long Shadow" will get a sense the band is constantly finding themselves in the music, and rediscovering their possibilities.

A lot is on the horizon for Twin Limb, as they take off in November for shows with Murder By Death, and then Jim James of My Morning Jacket. Follow them on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to keep up, or check out

The Setlist is a collaboration between WFPK Music Director Kyle Meredith and WAVE 3 News Producer Laurel Mallory. Find more local music by watching WAVE 3 News every Saturday morning or Monday nights at 7:30 p.m.
