Smile Kentucky, a program run by a community partnership, goes around in a mobile dental office to different elementary schools. They stopped at Heritage Elementary School on Halloween.

Vada Willen dressed as a unicorn for the day. But before she bit into all the Halloween candy from Trick or Treating, Smile Kentucky checked her unicorn chompers to see if she's good to go.

"A lot of families don't go to the dentist or have time to go the dentist, so this is an extra screening that should take that burden off of some families," Melanie Murphy, the family resources coordinator at Heritage elementary said.
The dentist said Willen has great teeth. That was no surprise because she sticks to a strict regimen.
"I brush my teeth every night!" Vada said, adding that the real secret is flossing daily too.
