Straight-ticket voting earns Johnson House seat

BULLITT COUNTY, KY (WAVE) - Despite receiving backlash for racially charged social media posts, Dan Johnson won a Kentucky House seat in last week's election.

Of his 93-hundred votes, Johnson received 59 hundred straight ticket votes, meaning only 34 hundred voters checked his name on their ballot.

Straight-ticket voting lets voters choose all of a party's candidates with just a single mark on a ballot.
