LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - You had plenty to say regarding our Changing Times editorial this week.
Vincent Mason wrote: "Change … nice try. This Congress has been the most unproductive Congress in our nation's history – no jobs bill (as promised), no Supreme Court Justice, took the most days off of any in history – yet all the incumbents have been voted back in."
Louis Clark said: "The citizens of this country just want different leadership. 'We the people' are getting stomped on by current leaders…As a nation, we must learn to be independent as possible while standing up together and not letting the nation burn. Our founding fathers would be devastated if they were here today."
Our guest editorial, The Empty Chair, brought this response from Cheri Smith: "Someone in the midst of addiction along with their family needs our help and support, not disdain and criticism. SB 192 was recently passed into law that provides for several things, the first being a "Good Samaritan" clause that will shield people from prosecution when they seek help for someone who overdoses. This law also allows pharmacies to sell Naloxone kits to anyone seeking one. They will also provide training on how to administer the drug."
Regarding our Reducing the Prison Population editorial, Randy Rollo replied: "If you want to cut cost stop running these prisons as a holiday and free college. These people are there as law breakers, not because they were unfortunate! Cut out TV and free college, run it like a basic training camp for the military."
We appreciate all of your feedback.
