M. Douglas Gossman, M.D.

Dr. Gossman is Board Certified in Ophthalmology with a subspecialty Fellowship in Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He received a Doctor of Medicine degree from the State University of New York and completed an Internship in Surgery at Millard Fillmore Hospital in Buffalo, New York. He completed a Residency in Ophthalmology at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation and a Fellowship in Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery at Emory University School of Medicine.

Dr. Gossman established the first Oculoplastic Surgery Service at the University of Louisville and served as its Director for more than 17 years. He has published numerous articles on Cosmetic and Reconstructive Oculoplastic Surgery and holds memberships in the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Association of Clinical Anatomists, American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology and Kentucky Academy of Eye Physicians and Surgeons. He is married and has two children.
