LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Another person has been arrested in what police said was a plot to get drugs into Metro Corrections.

Louisville Metro Police arrested Eric Carman, 30, on Tuesday. Carman was charged with two counts of promoting contraband in the first degree.

LMPD said Carman's girlfriend Kimberly Lynn Pettry, who was arrested earlier this week, tried to smuggle drugs and other contraband into Metro Corrections.

Around 9:35 a.m. Tuesday, LMDC officers conducting surveillance of the area witnessed Pettry placing a package on a string that had been dropped from the window to Carman. The package was found to contain heroin, meth, and spice, in addition to cigarettes and a lighter.

According to Carman's arrest report, the LMDC Intel Unit monitored a jail phone conversation between Carman and Pettry that confirmed he received the drugs.
