LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Four-year-old Jameson strokes his mother's hair because it hurts to touch his.
The young cancer patient is spending Christmas at the hospital without his twin brother.
"We're just going to kind of postpone Christmas for a little bit," Jameson's mother said.
However, the folks at Shack in the Back Barbecue didn't let that happen. They brought the holidays to the hospital.
"Customers nominated families in the area that are in need or going through some tough times," Barbara Sivells, owner of Shack in the Back Barbecue, said.
Jameson's family was one of the winners of the restaurant's Feed a Family contest.
"It started out just helping people in the community," Sivells said. "It sort of grew. Today we're going as far as Kosair Hospital in Jeffersonville."
Sivells' team brought all sorts of goodies to Jameson's hospital room. Ham, beans, and pie were made fresh.
"We get tired of chips and running to McDonald's," Jameson's mother said.
The Shack in the Back team delivered a holiday dinner to nine other families. Their goal is to spread Christmas cheer.
