Victim of fiery Adair County crash identified

ADAIR COUNTY, KY (WAVE) - The victim of a fiery car crash in Adair County has been identified. 

Kentucky State Police said Richard B. Bennett, 38, of Columbia, Kentucky was killed early on the morning of March 26 when the pickup truck he was driving hit a guardrail and caught on fire.

The truck was engulfed in flames when investigators arrived.

The accident happened at KY 55 and KY 551 about 1:45 in the morning.

Bennett was the only person inside the vehicle. Positive identification was not immediately possible due to the injuries he suffered.
