Shooting victim shows up at Louisville hospital

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A shooting victim showed up at a downtown Louisville hospital for treatment early Wednesday morning after being shot in the Phoenix Hill neighborhood.

Police said the shooting happened in the 300 block of South Clay Street. Officers responded to the area around Liberty Green apartments about 1:15 a.m. and found evidence of a shooting, but no victim. The man later showed up at a hospital. His condition is unknown.

    Nearly one year ago, a 22-month-old boy in Seymour, Indiana nearly drowned after he found his way outside and into a pool. Quick action from family and neighbors were able to save Maddex "Maddie" Elicio's life but left him with brain damage.  Family, friends and strangers filled a Crothersville, Indiana park Sunday to help raise money for Maddie's treatments and awareness to water-related accidents and deaths with children.
