LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - An argument in the Hazelwood neighborhood led to one man being killed another being shot.

Emergency crews were called to the 4000 block of Woodruff Avenue at 4:37 a.m. That's where Louisville Metro police found the two men. One of the victims was pronounced dead at the scene. Crystal Herrera told WAVE 3 News the man who died is her brother, Gerald Sulzer, 28. Herrera said that Sulzer did not live at the home on Woodruff Avenue.

Another man who was with Sulzer was also shot and was taken to University of Louisville Hospital. Police say the second victim is expected to survive.

Police say an argument took place before the shooting, but the reason for it has not been released. Patrick Shartzer lives next door and heard the commotion.

"Heard lights and sirens going off which is not strange for this neighborhood," Shartzer said. "Looked out my bathroom window to see the body laying in the yard."

Shartzer also heard yelling from his neighbor's yard.

"Just a whole bunch of obscenities," Shartzer said. "Mostly it was you need to fight like a man, no need to bring out a gun."

WAVE 3 News did observe people from the scene taken into police cars. Police say no one has yet been arrested or charged but they don't believe there are any outstanding suspects.

"At this time we are talking to individuals that were there," said Dwight Mitchell, an LMPD Spokesman. "We don't think there were any outstanding individuals."

We did notice that a surveillance camera was mounted on the home.

Metro police are still investigating this case.
