(WBTV) - Craving a sweet treat, but know that you probably shouldn't break your diet? We have your excuse - and it's a good one - you're doing it for the children!
The Children's Miracle Network (CMN) Hospitals and Dairy Queen are teaming up for Miracle Treat Day.
Thursday, participating Dairy Queen locations will donate at least $1 from every Blizzard Treat sold to local CMN hospitals.
According to CMN, Every minute, 62 children enter a Children's Miracle Network Hospital for treatment. The hospitals provide care to over 10 million children each year. Some are battling cancer. Some are suffering from a traumatic injury. Others require constant care because they were born too early, or with a genetic disease.
CMN and Dairy Queen have teamed up for Miracle Treat Day for more than ten years.
Last year, more than $4 million was donated to Children's Miracle Network Hospitals across the United States and Canada.
Also - be sure to tell your Canadian friends to not feel left out. Miracle Treat Day in Canada will be held on Thursday, August 10.
