Earliest Alert 5.22.18

Hopefully those that were missed on the rainfall Monday night...were caught up this morning!

The downpours will continue across KY through the afternoon with new development taking place across Indiana later on.  The morning rain did take out some of the moisture in advance of the front, but still expecting a broken line(s) of thunderstorms to move north to south through sunset.

Then get ready for some NICE weather!  You should notice a decrease in the humidity Wednesday but likely won't notice much change in the temperatures with the strong sunshine.  The exception will be tomorrow night/Thursday AM when some could drop into the 50s :)

The weekend setup will involves an approaching cold front and increasing tropical moisture from the south.  This looks to be a gradual change so we have a good chance to start the holiday weekend off dry and hot.  Afternoon thunderstorms will become more of an issue we end the holiday on Monday.

But the pattern likely won't stop there.  Signs remain of a battle between dry high pressure to our north and a tropical flow to our south.  I am betting on the tropical side of things into early June for now.  I have not been too impressed with the dry punches lately and that chance becomes even harder when you get into June.

For those with agriculture interest, stay close to the trends on this as I know you need some dry periods mixed in with a wet pattern like that.  And that still remains possible.
