Dr Lee Burns is originally from Bourbon County Kentucky (northeast of Lexington), where he raised corn, tobacco, cattle and fine racing horses. He attended the University of Kentucky and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Animal Science. After graduating from college, Dr. Burns became a general contractor for the coal industry in the Appalachian Coal Fields of Eastern Kentucky and West Virginia. It was the years of farming and mining that Dr. Burns became aware of the numerous back and spine problems associated with these two professions.
Pursuing his desire to help those with back pain, Dr. Burns completed his graduate study at the Palmer College of Chiropractic in Iowa. While at Palmer, he became interested in the finer art of chiropractic, known as Gonstead (a precision technique focused on full-spine chiropractic adjustments that are proven more effective). His skills were put to international use as a team member traveling to South Central Asia, introducing Chiropractic Care to the indigenous people of Nepal.
Returning to Kentucky to practice Chiropractic, Dr. Burns choose to become an associate with one of Kentucky's acknowledged leading provider of Chiropractic Care, the Eriksen Chiropractic Centers. The Centers are known for specializing in the Gonstead technique and helping people live pain free. Dr. Burns believes in the holistic (total person) concept to health care, including maintaining an optimally functioning nervous system.
Dr. Burns has been active in his communities and looks forward to becoming so in his new home, Elizabethtown and surrounding areas. He enjoys team sports and can often be seen jogging in the neighborhood, always vigilant for meeting new friends.
