(ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky.) -- Residents in Hardin County can thank a couple of furry animals for cutting off their power.
Two squirrels were electrocuted when they breached shields at substations in Radcliff and Elizabethtown.
The incident in Radcliff on Friday cut off power to 17-hundred customers. And the incident in Elizabethtown on Sunday left 23-hundred people without power.
The Sunday outage inconvenienced a few churches, which had to do things like use a piano instead of an organ and light candles.
But the problems were fixed within the same day.
