Quick List For Surviving A Fender Bender

  • Don't run. This seems to be many people's first impulse, but it is against the law to leave the scene of any accident.

  • Check the vehicle. Make note of specific damages to all the vehicles involved.

  • Exchange information. It is important to write down the name, address and license number of persons involved in the accident. Also, write a description of the other vehicles.

  • Look for witnesses. Jot down the names and addresses of anyone who may have witnessed the accident. This may prevent disagreement concerning how the accident actually occurred.
