Man killed in motorcycle crash

(LOUISVILLE) -- An Okolona area man is dead following a late night motorcycle accident. The accident happened around midnight at the intersection of east Broadway and Barret Avenue.

Officers tell WAVE 3 that motorcycle driver, 23 year old Jasmin Batanovic, lost control of his motorcycle and then was hit by a car. Batanovic, who lived in the 300o block of Sonoma Lane, was rushed to University Hospital.

Jefferson County deputy coroner Gayle Norris tells WAVE 3 that Batanovic died at University Hospital around 12:20 a.m. from multiple injuries that he suffered in the crash.

Police do not expect to file charges against the driver of the car.
