Wear Denim on March 18th to raise awareness about sex crime

Raising awareness about the crimes of sexual assault is as easy as wearing your jeans.

The Italian High Court overturned a rape conviction in 1992 with one justice declaring the victim must have willingly participated since she was wearing tight jeans that were difficult to remove.

Women of the Italian legislature protested by wearing jeans, beginning the observance of Denim Day worldwide. Join us as Kentuckiana observes our first Denim Day. Get your friends and family involved too. Call 502-753-3214 for more information or download materials here.
