Taxi Procession to Honor Murdered Cab Driver

Louisville cab drivers will meet at the Iroquois High School parking lot tonight at 9pm to form a procession honoring driver Jean Popette who was found shot dead in his cab last Friday night in the 100 block of Southland Boulevard.  The procession will follow the route Popette normally took while on duty.

Also heightening awareness of this crime, the Yellow and Checker Cab Company announced Thursday the offer of $10,000 for information that helps lead to the arrest of Popette's murderer or murderers.  The company hopes the reward will aid police in their investigation.

If you have any information about this case, please call Crimestoppers at 582-CLUE (582-2583).
