LOUISVILLE (WAVE) -- As you can well imagine, I often get product samples from manufacturers for review. More often than not, I have been impressed with the newer products coming on the market; here are two things that I recently received that look pretty promising at the first try.
The first is a new fertilizer called Colorburst. The beauty of this product is that each portion of fertilizer is pre-measured and packaged in little pouches. Each pouch makes up one gallon of no mess no fuss fertilizer. Of course you need to have dry hand to use these pouches; otherwise you are defeating the purpose.
Lots of people ask me about new organic products. Here's a product that I found called Nature's Avenger. Nature's Avenger is a citrus based herbicide. It is a non-selective, broad spectrum total kill herbicide, so that means that it will damage any plants that it comes in contact with, including any valuable plants.
These are some wild violets that I sprayed just a couple of days ago that are definitely feeling the effects of the herbicide.
If you are looking for products that will make your gardening chores less messy and easier or you are looking for organic products, these two new products might be just the thing for you, but keep in mind, as with any pesticide you should read the label thoroughly and follow the directions carefully before you buy any of these products.
