RADCLIFF, KY (WAVE) - The shooting death of a store owner in Radcliff is being called homicide. The body of 56-year-old Charles "Chuck" Dole was found by a customer around 7:30 p.m. Monday inside the Now Fashions store at 1165 North Wilson Road. WAVE 3's Janelle MacDonald reports on the latest in the investigation.

The Now Fashions store was still surrounded by crime scene tape as the murder investigation continued Tuesday. According to Radcliff Police, sometime between 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Monday, a person or persons came into the store and Dole, the store manager.

Police will not say if anything was taken. While they say they have no suspects, police do say there are some people they are looking at as they try to find Dole's killer or killers.

"He simply operated a business here in the city and it's very disheartening that one of our citizens meet his fate in this manor and we will do everything within our power to quickly resolve this issue," said Det. Lt Ralph Craig of the Radcliff Police.

Friends tell WAVE 3 that Dole was married and had two adult daughters who live outside of the Radcliff area. Dole was a retired member of the military and was not originally from Radcliff.

Radcliff Police are looking for a white car with a red passenger door in connection with Dole's murder. They are calling this a "car of interest" and want to talk with the people who own it.

North Wilson Road is a very busy road that leads to Fort Knox. Police are asking anyone that who was in the area between 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Monday and saw something that may have stuck out to them or seemed suspicious to call the Radcliff Police Department at 270-351-4478.
