New Developments In Dishon Case

(LOUISVILLE, October 14th, 2002, 5:30 p.m.) -- The Brooks family is trying to raise the money to get David "Bucky" Brooks out of jail. Last week, a judge set bond for David "Bucky" Brooks, the man charged with kidnapping and killing Jessica Dishon over three years ago.Meanwhile, another man some believe might be connected is behind bars. David McArthur reports.

Information that surfaced in a videotaped interview paved the way for bond to be set for David "Bucky" Brooks. Questions were raised in that interview about two men in a black Camaro who were seen with Jessica Dishon at a party the night before her disappearance. Those men are identified as James Coulter and Jason Dunsford.

Those men were brought into custody on Sunday on unrelated charges, including a long list of traffic offenses, drug offenses and bad checks. Brooks' attorney, Vincent Yustas, is very interested in questioning Dunsford about what he may know about Dishon's disappearance.

"I don't know if he'll be cooperative or not -- I suspect that he probably will not," Yustas told WAVE 3 News in an interview by phone. "It still gives us access to some forensic evidence that possibly could assist in the case."

Brooks was still behind bars Monday on a $100,000 full cash bond or a $200,000 property bond.

Yustas says Brooks' family is trying to raise the funds to get him released. If that happens, 'He'll do it again," says Donna Mattingly, one of Dishon's family members. "There's no doubt in my mind. It'll be a waiting game -- and he won't be out too long before he does it."
