HAMILTON, OH (FOX19) - A Butler County grand jury has returned more indictments against a local pediatrician, and now, his twin brother faces similar charges.
Dr. Mark Blankenburg was already facing 36 charges of sex and drug charges on allegations that he had improper relationships with his patients. He was arrested in December of 2008.
On Friday, Blankenburg was indicted on 54 more counts, all relating to drugs, illegal sexual activity with a minor, bribery and money laundering.
In addition, Mark Blankenburg's twin brother, Scott, was also indicted on 21 counts. They also involve bribery, money laundering and sexual activity involving a minor.
Scott Blankenburg came under investigation earlier this year when his office was searched and several paper and electronic records were confiscated.
Mark Blankenburg continues to be held on a $1 million bond. Scott Blankenburg was released on a $500,000 bond and the judge ruled that he is allowed to continue to see patients. However, he must have someone else in the room with him.
