LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The 6A Final started an hour late due to lightning, but that couldn’t slow down the Male Bulldogs as they beat Scott County 37-20.

Male quarterback, Garrett Dennis was dominant, racking up 301 total yards and three touchdowns on his way to game MVP. It was the Bulldogs defense that opened the scoring with a safety on Scott County’s opening drive. After that, Dennis lit up the scoreboard for three first half touchdowns.

Scott County opened the second half with a long drive that culminated with Bronson Brown’s second touchdown to cut the lead to 23-13. After that, a Male freshman had the night of his life. Vincel Anthony finished the game with 75 yards rushing and two touchdowns to stave off a Scott County come back.

Male is now 8-3 in state title games. Head coach, Chris Wolfe earns his second title at the school.
