LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - For eight years The Arrow Fund has been helping WAVE Country’s most severe animal abuse and neglect cases.
On Tuesday, The Arrow Fund announced they’re planning on building an animal rescue complex.
Over $650,000 for the new complex has been raised so far, including the $300,000 donation from Hagan Properties.
“It wasn’t just to have a small building,” said Arrow Fund president & founder Rebecca Eaves. “It was my dream, is exactly what’s happening. It is the Arrow Fund Animal Rescue Complex. It is a way to educate the public to come out and see what we do. Come out and adopt these animals.”
The group still needs to raise $850,000 to meet their $1.5 million goal.
The complex will be is scheduled to open next summer in Jeffersontown, and will have more space and resources to help abused and neglected animals.
