JCPS students deliver holiday greetings to seniors for Operation Holiday Card

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Some JCPS students delivered some special holiday cheer to seniors in Eastern Jefferson County. Students from JPCS middle schools delivered hundreds of holiday cards to residents at Jefferson Manor Rehab and Wellness Center.

The students joined in with Signature HealthCARE’s Operation Holiday Card project, an effort to collect 15-thousand holiday cards for residents at 100 facilities in ten states.

It’s a project that’s good for those who give *and* receive.

Signature Healthcare’s Angie McAllister says, “i think they need a little piece of Christmas. Not everyone in nursing homes gets visitors. Not everyone has family and sometimes they’re forgotten there and it’s so sad. But when you think about getting people and giving them a little piece of your live and holiday cheer, it just makes their day special.”

Signature HealthCARE is still accepting cards for its residents. If you would like to donate some holiday greetings, you can deliver your homemade or store-bought cards to:
