LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A plane on its way to Chicago’s O’Hare Airport from Louisville’s International Airport had to return to make an emergency landing on Wednesday morning.

It was an American Airlines flight on a CRJ-700 aircraft, Louisville airport officials shared.

The plane had a mechanical issue and had to return to Louisville to land around 9 a.m. There were 70 people on board, including the crew.
