K & I model railroad club

The Kentucky & Indiana (K & I) Model Railroad Club is a diverse group of modelers and railroad enthusiasts whose purpose is to foster their creative interests in the model railroading hobby in a family-friendly environment.

Model railroading is fun, and membership into the club is a great way to share the fun with others. Additionally, they share a hobby with the public during frequent “Open House” activities throughout the year.

Membership comes from various backgrounds, ages, careers, and skill levels. Experience levels range from those who’ve been in the hobby for decades to those who’ve just entered recently. Everyone of all ages can enjoy the model railroad club.

While some of members have home layouts, the majority do not; some are in the process of building home layouts. Since the K&I has a modular layout, we encourage members to build a module as a way of increasing individual understanding of the hobby and honing personal construction skills.

K & I model railroad club runs through January 6 during library hours, admission is free.

New Year’s eve at Lupo

Pizza LUPO is celebrating the southern Italian Feast of the Seven Fishes tradition December 31 from 5-9pm.

The restaurant is offering a seven course feast including anchovy-rich salads, boquerones on pizzas, fried smelts, fettuccine al mare, fresh and wood-fired oysters.

Louisville Crashers New Year’s eve party

Need plans for the new year, Louisville Crashers have you covered.

Mark Maxwell Louisville Crashers is inviting WAVE Country to ring in the New Year at the Ice House, 226 E Washington street.

The party starts at 9 p.m. and ends at 1:30 a.m., the theme is Cabaret and costumes are highly encouraged.

Tickets are limited; general admission are $75 dollars, includes drink ticket, champagne to toast. VIP tickets are $125, includes drink ticket, champagne to toast and access into the VIP lounge.
