LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - There was something for every partygoer in Louisville on New Year’s Eve.
At the Ice House on Main Street, around 300 people celebrated the new year jamming out to their favorite local band. The Louisville Crashers brought in a lot of dedicated fans.
“We are big fans,” Denise Vandevelde said. “They never disappoint, they always put on a great party and the Ice House is a fun venue. It’s just a great time to get away from work, dress up, be fun.”
Hell Or High Water held its first New Year’s Eve celebration. The speak-easy style bar opened nine months ago behind Whiskey Row along West Washington Street.
Around 120 people showed up for the champagne and live music.
“It’s relaxed, it’s fun, the bartenders are phenomenal, and I’ve got the best girl to my right here so it’s a good night,” Spence Kraft said. “It’s going to be a good year.”
Mellwood Arts Center was another great place to go. The venue was packed with people dancing to live music as it is every year on New Year’s Eve. Tony & The Tan Lines performed and DJ K-Dogg was scheduled to spin until 2 a.m.
