Report of gunfire in hospital parking lot under investigation

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A portion of a hospital parking lot in St. Matthews became a crime scene after shots were fired from a vehicle parked there.

According to St. Matthews police, the gunfire happened around 5:30 a.m. Wednesday in the parking lot of Baptist Health Louisville in the 4000 block of Kresge Way.

Investigators say an unknown man approached a car in the front parking section near Breckenridge Lane and Interstate 64 and the man inside the car started shooting.

Police said no one was injured and they investigating the situation that caused the shooting.
