SHELBYVILLE, KY (WAVE) - There’s a new member of the Shelby County Suburban Fire District, and we must admit he’s the cutest!

The department introduced its new fire dog on Facebook on Friday.

He’s a Dalmatian, but so far he doesn’t have a name -- that we know of. We really don’t know much about the little guy, but the pictures of him were too cute not to share!

Posts on Facebook show the puppy’s first day exploring the firehouse and getting to know everyone.

He even did some desk work.

Here he is hard at work!

He had so many visitors, he was tuckered out by 6 p.m. “Tough first day,” the department said on Facebook.

Tough first day. He had lots of visitors to entertain!

Shelby County is the second department in WAVE Country to bring a doggo onto its team recently.

Bardstown Fire Department adopted the lovable Oreo last summer.

We hope more departments follow suit.
